Facial Rejuvenation

Face Lift

A face lift (or rhytidectomy) is one of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures. In the United Sates alone, more than 124,000 people underwent face lift surgery in 2002. The most common candidate for a face lift is between 40 and 70 years old. Between these ages the skin and muscles of the face begin to sag downward toward the mouth and chin. This sagging creates heavy folds around the nose and mouth and jowl formation along the jaw line.

You can decide whether or not you need a face lift by looking in the mirror. Using your fingers, pull the skin of your cheeks upward and backward toward the top of your ears. If this results in an improvement of the heavy skin folds around the nose and mouth and an improvement in your jaw line, then you may be a good candidate for a face lift.

Neck Lift

As you begin to age, your neck muscles become weak and develop unwanted fat deposits which can make your neck appear larger as skin begins to sag. A neck lift is a procedure to eliminate the sagging skin from your neck and tighten the skin that remains, resulting in a more elegant profile and youthful appearance.

Eyelid Blepharoplasty

Are you tired of your tired eyes? Cosmetic eye surgery (or blepharoplasty), is designed to rejuvenate the eyes and create a more youthful and energetic appearance. Some of the common problems with aging eyelids include excess skin and puffiness of the upper and lower eyelids. These problems can easily be remedied by one of our six board-certified physicians.

There is a small subset of women who, due to genetics, develop puffy lower eyelids at a relatively young age. Many women find that by the time they are 30 years old, their lower eyelids look much older. Because they do not yet have aging skin, they do not require skin removal. In these special circumstances, an incision for fat removal is made on the inside of the eyelid and fat only is removed. This results in improvement of the puffiness of the lower lids. Usually, no surgery of the upper eyelids is performed.

Brow Lift

For many people, permanent furrow and frown lines can make them look upset or concerned even when they are relaxed and content. A brow or forehead lift helps correct unwanted furrow and frown lines and erase the worried or angry expression.

The brow or forehead lift is one of the most commonly overlooked procedures in cosmetic surgery, yet it can offer the most dramatic results. This procedure will restore youth to the area above the eyes and is the perfect procedure to be performed at the same time as a face lift.
