Credentials of Dr. Michael G. Leadbetter
Dr. Leadbetter’s education began at Otterbein College where he completed his undergraduate studies. He then continued his graduate coursework at Ohio State University where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree. After graduating from medical school Dr. Leadbetter was invited to attend Stanford University where he completed a rehabilitation Fellowship in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Leadbetter also received a Fellowship with The Royal College of Surgeons and Rotary International in London, England. Dr. Leadbetter’s training in general surgery was completed at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio and the University of New Mexico in Albequerque, New Mexico. Dr. Leadbetter returned to Ohio and was selected as Director of Emergency Medical Services at Medicine Center at Middletown Hospital in Ohio. He completed his plastic surgery specialty training at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Along with his extensive academic and professional achievements Dr. Leadbetter is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member in the prestigious American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) and the American Medical Association. His professional affiliations include a Fellowship with The American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Leadbetter also holds the distinction of board membership with The Lipoplasty Society, which is the premier educational organization for the teaching of plastic surgery body contouring procedures.
